Reconnect with your wild side and mother nature during our journeys. We explore the local culture, go for Nature hikes and start our day with a rejuvenating Qi- Yoga session. Our aim is to equip you with a personal yoga practice to take home. We organize women's Adventures in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bali, Nepal and Europe.

7 Days women's Adventure in Italy

Relax and recharge on this unique women’s adventure which balances exploring idyllic surroundings and journeying within. We stay at 2 different B&B’s. We will spend seven days in a relaxed and nurturing environment. Each day begins with a Qigong - Yoga practice to awaken your body and nurture your spirit. Each day we will go for a rejuvenating nature hike and enjoy the Italian ‘Bella vita’ . After dinner, we have a women circle with a wellness session where we explore different themes as establishing a daily practice and the importance of mindfulness and conscious breathing. A guided evening meditation will round out the day, and set you up for a restful and rejuvenating night’s sleep. Casperia, this medieval hilltop town is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes, cradled by the Sabina mountains. The old town is an extraordinary example of medieval architecture. Assisi is a famous pilgrimage Hill town of the 13th-century saints Francis and Clare of Assisi.
Why Casperia & Assisi
We choose to visit two places that are unique and different. Casperia is an enchanting gem in Italy and the views from the location are stunning.The historical home and medieval village of Casperia are beautiful and peaceful yet there is plenty going on. Our host Jennifer is wonderful. We will explore the surrounding area of Sabina by foot, explore the medieval village and much more.
Assisi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which combines art, nature, history and religious traditions. We will stay overnight in a beautiful place, an oasis of peace that offers the warmest welcome. The sisters that run the retreat place are friendly and smiling, making sure each guest feels at home. The meals are delicious, cooked with fine subtle flavors.
Day 1 You are welcome to arrive anytime before 5 pm, those flying in from overseas, we would suggest to arrive a day earlier so you can rest. After the opening circle, our lovely hosts will serve us a delicious meal overlooking the beautiful mountains.
Day 2 Morning yoga session, you will notice that a day started off with yoga just feels different. After an intro to ‘deep Breathing’, we will explore Casperia a small historical town, full of charm and character. Scenic viewpoint- bivacco colle Perini loop hike. This hike is about 10 km with elevation of 660m. Good news there is a shortcut for those who would prefer a less strenuous hike. We round off the day with an evening circle.
Day 3 Early yoga practice. Enthusiasts can choose to go for a beautiful day hike to the stunning mountains that we overlook from our B&B. Today we will hike the beautiful Monte Pizzuto loop from Roccanticca village. This is a 5 hour intermediate hike, with an elevation gain of about 840 m. We will round off our beautiful day with an authentic Italian 3 course dinner.
Day 4 After our rejuvenating yoga session and breakfast overlooking the mountains, we will say goodbye to our hosts and travel by train to Assisi. Late afternoon we will go for a walk through narrow alleys and medieval squares to Saint Rufino’s Cathedral and Saint Claire's Basilica. At the main city square, Piazza del Comune, you will see one of the best-preserved Roman temples in Italy- Minerva's temple – which is surrounded by imposing medieval government buildings. We will finish our walk at the Basilica of Saint Francis which is world-famous for its 13th-14th century frescoes by the best painters of Italy at that time. Among those, the most famous is Giotto.
Day 5 Morning Qigong. Today we will hike downhill through Olive groves to the San Damiano Sanctuary. This sanctuary is where St Francis provided safety for the poor Clare's of Assisi and St Clare. It is humble and inspirational place. Silence is required from the gate of the path and during the entire visit. This is a perfect way to integrate having some moments of silence during our nature hikes. You will notice that walking in silence, sharing meals together without any verbal communication, is such a different way of connecting and bonding with the group. Evening Mindfulness meditation.
Day 6 Qi-yoga - after our breakfast we will hike to the retreat of San Francesco, Eremo delle Carceri – called 'the Hermitage'. At over 750 meter above sea level on the wooded slopes of Mount Subasio backdropping Assisi remains a silent place of retreat and seclusion. This Eremo is the most Franciscan place there is, the closest to the life of St. Francis. The fraternity, the daily work, the intense moments of prayer. This welcoming the Franciscan way of life... After our Italian dinner we will have a closing circle under the stars.
Day 7 Sunrise Qi- Yoga, we finish our retreat after breakfast. You are welcome to extend your stay with an extra night at this lovely Retreat place.
Sleeping facilities
During our stay in Casperia. We stay overnight in an historical Home that offers panoramic outdoor terrace, dining and breakfast room with exposed beams, an elegant cosy sitting.
In Assisi we will stay in a typical Umbrian retreat place run by Benedictine sisters awaits guests with its stone walls and large wooden window shutters. A terrace provides views over the Umbrian countryside below and the surrounding gardens are filled with lush greenery and olive trees. Very unique location only 10 minutes walk from the centre of Assisi.
Meals
All meals are included during the trip. From dinner on the first evening till breakfast on the last day. For every meal there will be variety of delicious Italian food. There is an option to eat vegetarian. We can cater for most food requirements, but we would need to know in advance as in Italy the main staple is bread and pasta.

To secure your spot, we ask a deposit of 275 Euro or 300 $.
What is Qi- yoga?
From a Qigong practitioners view, there is an interest to perceive and understand how the ‘Qi’ or energy flow is affected during different asanas or Yoga postures. We deepen our understanding of the common elements of Qigong and Yoga. Calming and controlling the mind, relaxing the body, regulating breath and movement during the different asanas. Qi- yoga doesn’t require any yoga experience or flexibility. We focus on body awareness and work within our own personal limits. We will explore different ways to get more in touch with our bodies, through breathing and relaxation techniques. sound healing & mantra yoga.
Although Qigong was created in China & Yoga in India, they both find their roots in Life force Energy (Qi - Chi or Prana) which enables us to connect within. Most of the time, our mind is entertained and focuses on the outside world, as a result we disperse our ‘Qi’ or energy. During Qigong (often spelt Chi kung) we bring our attention inside our body, so we can use this ‘Qi’ to replenish and harmonize body and mind.
Qi and Prana (yama)
Qi and Prana are the same, life force or energy. In Yoga (India) they use the word ‘Prana’, in China ‘Qi’. Pranayama is usually translated as breathing exercises, because breath is closely related to the state of your Qi or Prana. Through breath regulation we rebalance our internal energy system.
Natural healing
‘Qi follows the mind’
In pain, we instinctively focus our mind on the painful body part, Qi will follow and a natural healing process will take place. This Qi, or ‘life force energy’ will mobilize the immune system and repair damaged cells. Whereas conventional sports lead to consumption of energy, Qigong gathers and rebalances the energy within our body.
