Day 1: Arrival day
Arrival at Colombo International Airport, where your private English speaking driver will meet you at the arrival hall. 2 hour transfer to our boutique hotel in Galle. The ideal place to relax (at the swimming pool or your room) after your long flight. Galle is home to an impressive World Heritage-listed Dutch fort with extensive walls and many interesting old buildings. Enjoy an evening stroll around the historic fort. Lots of nice dinner options in Galle Fort.
Day 2: Galle - Organic Tea Plantation
Early birds can join the locals for a morning walk around the historic fort. After breakfast, we will travel (about 3,5 hours) to an Organic Tea Plantation. On the way there are many interesting options for a stop. Afternoon walk and refreshing dip in the river. Dinner and overnight at Organic Tea plantation.
Day 3: Hike to Ella Rock
Before breakfast you can choose to hike to Eagle rock for sunrise, a superior version of Mini Adam’s peak, with views 50 km South over the ocean. Tour of the organic farm and the artisanal tea and coffee production. After lunch the local guide will take us to Ella Rock.
Overnight at Organic Tea Plantation.
Day 4: Magical Train ride - Boutique Homestay
After breakfast we leave this unique nature get-away, we will board the train at Heel Oya, (20min. drive) away from the crowed Ella station. At the private Plantation bungalow, the chef will welcome you and cook a delicious homemade dinner. Overnight at Boutique Homestay
Day 5: Horton Plains
We leave the homestay at 5.30 am and enjoy our packed breakfast later during our hike at Horton Plains. A naturalist guide will take us off the beaten track. We enjoy sunrise during this beautiful hike to the World’s end with stunning views. After our hike we travel to Kandy. We will be welcomed at our unique home where you can relax at the swimming pool.
Day 6: Kandy
After breakfast, we will visit the botanical gardens. In the afternoon you can explore Temple of Tooth Relic, Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist site and mingle with the white-clad pilgrims who come here to worship. After the temple visit you can walk around the lake. Enthusiasts can enjoy a cultural dance show. Overnight at Family villa.
Day 7: Dambulla cave temple
Private transfer from Kandy to Sigiriya (about 2,5 hours drive), on the way we will explore the amazing Dambulla Cave Temples which are located high on a stone cliff face. This wondrous UNESCO Heritage-listed site is the largest and best preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. After a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, we will explore Minneriya National park. A local nature guide will take you on a wildlife jeep safari, where we have a big chance to spot some wild elephants. Overnight stay at Habarana Forest nature villa.
Day 8: Lion Rock
We leave the lodge early for sunrise on visit Sigiriya rock. We will enjoy packed BF overlooking Sigiriya. Learn about the historical background of this sacred land. If you have the energy you can also climb Pidurangala rock. The view over Lion Rock is worth all the effort of climbing. Most part of the climb is shaded, only the last part is harder and not shaded. Dinner and overnight stay at Habarana Forest nature villa
Day 9: From Jungle to beach
We travel on to the beautiful Nilaveli beach near Trincomalee (about 2 hours drive).
Relaxed afternoon at the beach. Overnight stay at a lovely beach hotel
Day 10: Nilaveli beach
Nilaveli beach is the perfect base to swim, snorkel or relax in the shade of a palmtree. Boattrip: let us know if you would like to go on a relaxing boat trip or to Pigeon island, but know that you need to pay NP fee to snorkel around the island.
Day 11:
Enjoy a sunrise beach walk. After brunch, scenic drive along nature reserves and lakes (2 hours) from Nilaveli to Mihintale. In Mihintale, you can visit Linda (from Belgium) who has been building a waterfilter station, schools, toilets and houses to provide the basic needs of villagers nearby. After a short drive the check in into our Eco Lodge overlooking the lake. Enjoy homemade Sri Lankan food.
Day 12: Cycling Anuradhapura
After breakfast at the homestay, The driver will recommend some lunch options in town, so you can have lunch before starting the bicycle trip. We will meet the local guide in Anuradhapura town, where we will jump on our bicycles and explore UNESCO's World Heritage site of Anuradhapura's "Atamasthana" or eight sacred places. Among the ruins, you'll see the sacred old Bo Tree, a spiritual reminder of the beginnings of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, and the inspiration for Anuradhapura's great buildings. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake front Eco Lodge.
Day 13: Safari
Morning Safari at Wilpattu National Park, home to large number of Leopards, wild elephants, bears, kingfishers, monkeys and Sambar deer. Wilpattu is one of the most beautiful national park in Sri Lanka, offering the greatest variety of animals.
After our safari we will take the coastal road to Colombo (3 hours drive). Overnight at Boutique hotel, Colombo.
Day 14: Departure day

Day 1: Hanoi – Red Dao Homestay (L - D)
Transfer to Sapa province, off the beaten track. You will spend time to visiting a Hilltribe village, inhabited by the Tay ethnic, who live mostly in traditional stilts house. Your lunch is prepared at a Tay family which looks over the rice terrace below. The afternoon trip will be on a small hidden trail through the rice valley to a Red Dao village. You will then arrive at a homestay of Red Dao family.
The rest of the day is time for exploring the village.
Approx: 10km hiking/ 3hours. Accommodation: Homestay in Red Dao family. Meals: Lunch, Dinner.
Day 2: Trekking through villages and valleys (B-L-D)
You wake up to the sound of nature. Saying goodbye to the friendly villagers, you commence the trek by a short walk on a quiet road for a while before turning into a dirt clay trail leading uphill to another Red Dao village, enjoying the breathtaking view of mountains, rivers, and waterfalls. You will arrive at the village just before noon, and, you will visit a small school (if school day) and are welcomed by the little shying boys and girls with their eyes wide open as they are not yet familiar with visitors. Leaving the village behind, you will turn into a small dirt trail and soon note the marvelous views of the valley dotted with bamboo huts, which are used by local farmers as overnight lodges during harvest season. After passing the rice terraces and a river you will walk on a quiet road for a while before arriving at the charming our village. Your lunch is served at the riverside lodge, with the jungle just behind and connected with the village by its own suspended bridge.
Afternoon you will be accompanied by your guide for a hike to explore the forest which is just located behind the village. The steep trail will lead you to the jungle where is cardamom fields owned by Red Dao villagers. You also can choose to just spend time for explore around the village and learn how the local villagers make writing paper, silver jewelry and colorful embroidery.
Swimming at the stream or trying the herbal bath is a great thing to do at the riverside lodge.
Approx: 8.2 km trekking/ 3.5 hours; 1 hour for lunch; 2.5 hours visit village or cardamom field.

Day 3: Nam Pa Jungle BBQ Hike - Eco Lodge (B - L)
Indulge your wild side with an 8km hike through lush green foliage framing picturesque views of rice paddies and mountains in the distance. Arrive at your destination and observe the rushing waterfall before pausing for a delectable BBQ lunch complete with freshly smoked trout, tofu, mushrooms, vegetables and jungle herbs along the riverbanks. Those who wish to go further can continue walking over make-shift suspension bridges for breath-taking photography opportunities! After lunch, you will be transfer to unique Eco lodge.

Day 4: Eco Lodge - Hanoi (B)
The morning is at your leisure at the Ecolodge. You can either relax or borrow high-quality mountain bikes from the lodge for an exploration of the surrounding areas.
