We choose to travel ‘green’: we plan our programs in such a way that we maximize your experience in Asia while minimizing the use of transport requiring fuel.
We minimize our impact on the environment while trekking: we provide biodegradable soap and shampoo for the group and follow the ‘Leave No Trace’ rules. Most places where we stay recycle and refill water bottles.
Experience authentic Asia culture. At the Village Stays, we eat local food and avoid specialty foods that had to be transported from afar.
We support the local community by paying fair prices and staying in locally owned guesthouses.
We only travel in small groups. This makes it easier to have authentic social contact with local people. To further enhance the experience, we try to keep the group informed about local traditions and etiquette to bridge cultural gaps.
Continued ‘mindful' living: we truly hope that you will share your unforgettable experiences and environmental awareness with others back home.

SIDINA Learning with photography Sidina Mascarena is an mauritian ngo created by a french photographer Karine Gougerot. For 2009, 1161 children worked on photography projects. Project Rationale : To introduce young audiences to photography so as to help build their personality by being an actor in their own project. Photography becomes the means to create, tell, reflect, read and write. Photography allows students with severe learning difficulties to regain confidence in themselves and motivates them to enjoy school, giving them the motivation to learn and find a love of reading and writing. In 2013, our plan is to create "correspondances photographiques"with children in different parts of the world. www.sidina.co (in construction) contact : karine@sidina.co |
